Summer Trend :: Jumpsuits Around the City

@Chelsea Market

Hi everyone! Hope you had a fantastic, long weekend. This weekend we finally managed to go to NYC! We decided to explore the Highline Park and Chelsea Market area. The Highline Park is a beautiful 1.5 mile long park built on a elevated section of a disused train track. It is lined with trees and dotted with sculptures and artwork from local artists. You can stroll along the path and enjoy an excellent view of the Hudson as well as the city. We got off the Highline near the Chelsea Market to explore its quaint shops selling various knick-knacks as well to taste some savory crepes from Bar Suzette. Right across the market is the Chelsea Pier and we spent a great evening enjoying the weather and observing the cruise ships full of happy faces, arrive and depart the pier. This weekend was all about jumpsuits and in this blog I am going to talk about two outfits.

Look 1: Since it was a hot and humid day, I opted for a open-back gaucho or culottes jumpsuit from Forever21. Gaucho pants or jumpsuits are just loose pants which hits right below the knees. However, since I went with a regular size and not petite size, these jumpsuits hit just above my ankles. I completed the outfit with a body chain (really loving this summer body-chain trend!)  and some walking-friendly lace-up flats.

Look2: We were planning to go out for dinner and on our way there, we stopped by the Chelsea Pier. For the night I choose a tailored jumpsuit from ASOS. The back of this jumpsuit is sheer and the material is georgette. I completed the look with a belt and some pumps. You can also style this jumpsuit with a blazer or a jacket for a more polished look.
