Day Look with Sequin

There are rules to every game, as are there in fashion. One such rule is that sequin is meant for night life and jazzy parties. Well, rules are meant to be broken! Sequin can easily be worn during day time, if it is toned down. I wore this outfit for a Sunday brunch without it looking like I came directly from last night’s party!

This skirt is from Shein (yet again!) and looks fabulous, although I feel the quality is not that great. There is also one big flaw in the design. It does not have a slit opening at the back or the sides, which made my walking down the stairs and getting into the car pretty uncomfortable. I am planning to take it to my tailor and customizing a side slit. I paired it again with my Baublebar ear crawlers (also seen here) which are my current favorite. Since the skirt is fitted, I chose an oversized sweater, to give it a more casual feel. But it can be easily worn with a fitted top or sweater. The boots are old and from Forever21. I wish I had paired it with ankle socks, but alas! The brunch was good though!
